We take your privacy seriously and handle your personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, "GDPR") and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 on Data Protection and the Guarantee of Digital Rights.

What data we collect
We only collect what we need:
- When you use the eligibility checker: your answers (such as your passport region, whether you are already qualified, whether you hold a degree, and your timing) and your email address.
- When you buy or download a resource (such as our schools database): your name, email address, and the details needed to process payment. Card payments are handled by our payment provider; we do not see or store your full card details.
- When you contact us by email or form: the details you choose to share.
- Automatically, when you browse: your IP address, browser and device information, and data gathered through cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy).
Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To answer your enquiry and give you guidance about teaching English in Spain, courses and visas (our legitimate interest, and your consent where you submit the checker).
- To route you to the right school. Depending on your answers we may pass your details to the relevant partner school so they can help you (see "Who we share data with" below). This is based on your consent.
- To deliver a product you have bought and provide support (performance of a contract with you).
- To send you marketing, such as helpful updates or offers, only where you have given consent. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To run and improve the site and keep it secure (our legitimate interest).
Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:
- Our partner schools, where relevant to your enquiry: TEFL Iberia (Trinity CertTESOL teacher training, Barcelona) and Iberia Language Academy, S.L. (CIF B75780593), a Spanish language academy. For example, if your route points towards a Spanish course we may pass your enquiry to Iberia Language Academy so they can advise you.
- Service providers who process data on our behalf, under contract and on our instructions: our CRM provider (Monday.com), our payment processor, our email and hosting providers (including Cloudflare), and our analytics provider (Google Analytics).
- Authorities or advisers where we are legally required to do so.
International transfers
Some of our providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, the transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
We keep your personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or for as long as the law requires (for example, accounting records for purchases). You can ask us to delete your data at any time, and we will do so unless we are legally required to keep it.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you
- have inaccurate data corrected
- have your data erased
- restrict or object to how we process it
- receive your data in a portable format
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out
To exercise any of these, email us at info@tefl-iberia.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, www.aepd.es) if you believe we have not handled your data properly.
