These terms govern your use of teachenglishinspain.com ("the site"), published by TEFL Iberia (CIF X9870960G, Carrer d'Aragó 403, Entresuelo 1º, 08013 Barcelona, Spain). By using the site or buying a resource from us, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

Using the site

The guides, the eligibility checker and the other free content on this site are provided for general information only. They are not legal, immigration or financial advice, and they are not a substitute for professional advice on your individual situation. Visa rules, salaries and requirements change, and you should always confirm the current position with the relevant school, employer or authority before making a decision.

The eligibility checker gives an indicative route based on the answers you provide. It is a guide, not a guarantee of eligibility, a job, a visa or a place on any course.

The schools database and other paid resources

We offer downloadable resources, including a database of language schools and academies in Spain. Some resources are free; others are paid (for example, the complete Spain pack). The price and what is included are shown at the point of purchase.

What the database is, and how it is compiled

The database is a list of language schools and academies put together from publicly available business information. We provide it "as is". While we make a reasonable effort to keep it useful and current, we do not guarantee that it is complete, accurate or up to date, and details such as contact information may change without notice. You rely on it at your own discretion, and we are not responsible for the outcome of any application or contact you make using it.

Your licence to use it

When you download a resource, we grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use it for your own job search and personal use. You may not resell it, republish it, share it publicly, or distribute or scrape it, in whole or in part, whether for free or for payment.

Contacting schools responsibly

If you contact schools using information from the database, you must do so professionally and in line with applicable data protection and anti-spam law. We are not responsible for how any school responds, or for any dealings between you and a school.

Payment, delivery and refunds

Payment is taken at the point of purchase through our payment provider. Paid resources are digital content delivered to you immediately, by download or by a link sent to your email.

Because the resource is digital content delivered immediately, by completing your purchase and accessing the download you expressly request immediate delivery and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal (the 14 day "cooling off" period that normally applies to distance purchases under Spanish and EU consumer law). For that reason, paid resources are non-refundable once accessed, except where the law gives you a refund or where the resource is faulty or cannot be accessed, in which case please contact us and we will put it right or refund you.

Intellectual property

All content on this site, including text, design, graphics and downloadable resources, belongs to TEFL Iberia or its licensors and is protected by Spanish and EU intellectual property law. You may not copy, reproduce or distribute it without our written permission, beyond normal personal use of the site.

Links and third parties

The site links to third party websites, such as job boards, partner schools and online platforms. We provide these links for convenience and do not control or endorse those sites, and we are not responsible for their content or their practices.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or any resource, including any decision you make in reliance on our content. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. Any dispute will be subject to the courts of Barcelona, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights that allow you to bring a claim in your place of residence.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top shows when they last changed. The version in force is the one published here when you use the site or make a purchase.
